Keymaster Danes is located near Seattle, Washington. Danes bred at Keymaster have competed in the sports of conformation, rally, obedience, and agility. Many have also served as therapy dogs.

Danes have been part of my life since childhood. I began Keymaster Danes in 1992 and have lovingly bred, handled, and trained Danes for sixteen years. In 2008, I have made the decision to stop breeding. However, I continue to be active as a trainer and support Dane Outreach .

Keymaster Danes were some of the first black Danes to compete successfully with uncropped ears in AKC competition. I have owned or bred 3 of the 4 black Danes to ever complete AKC championships. I remain devoted to the natural ear Dane and active in ending the practice of ear cropping.

When looking for a breeder, make sure all health checks recommended by the Great Dane Club of America  (hips, eyes, heart, and thyroid) are performed before breeding. Look for breeders who breed to CHIC certified stud dogs or equivalent an sell pet puppies on limited registrations with spay/neuter contracts.
